Hi, I’m Sarah!
Welcome to Building Buzz.
I’ve always loved movies, but I think what I love most is how a good story can completely pull you into another world. I love leaving a movie still thinking about it hours later, talking about it with someone, or going down a rabbit hole learning more about it.
Somewhere along the way, I also started getting curious about everything that happens before we even watch a movie. Why are we suddenly seeing one film everywhere? What makes a trailer actually make us want to watch something? And how does a movie go from simply being released to becoming something everyone is talking about?
That curiosity makes a little more sense when I mention that I’m Sarah, a fourth-year BBA student at the Schulich School of Business specializing in Marketing. I love the creative side of marketing, and lately I’ve been especially interested in how it shows up in film and entertainment.
So Building Buzz is a place to explore that. I’m learning as I go, looking at campaigns that genuinely interest me, and sharing the things I find worth talking about.
